Outdoor Italy is now launching the Monte Rosa Ski Touring Camp: Fives days of ski touring and freeride on Monte Rosa in the Italian Alps with certified guides, amazing food and in great company of a small group of dedicated alpine enthusiasts.
This ski touring camp is for experienced skiers, who would like to try out ski touring, perhaps for the first time. However, more experienced ski touring and off piste skiers will also have a great time in this free ride paradise. We will stay in a chalet in Gressonney, close to Monte Rosa. During the first day those who have never tried ski touring will be taught the basic skills and familiarize themselves with the equipment. We will spend every day in the mountains with a highly experienced, certified mountain guide, who will tailor each tour to the level of the group.
A night on Monte Rosa
At the end of each day, everybody are free explore the area on their own – or head back to the local bar for an after-ski drink or just chill out in the chalet before dinner is served. If conditions are good, we will spend one night in a rifugio on Monte Rosa. This will be a unique experience with spectacular views along the way, technical challenges and, if we’re in luck, an opportunity to ride in deep, untouched powder. On our return from Monte Rosa we’ll meet up and celebrate in the local bar followed by dinner at home. If you are fed up standing in line for the next cabin lift, large crowds and bad pop music blaring from speakers, this ski touring camp is for you. You will probably never return to the pistes again.
