On this stunning route, we have adjusted distances and altitude carefully to suit runners who are in good shape, but who may not have the vast experience of mountain running.

The Dolomites are the perfect place for you who want to try out mountain running for the first time, but we can also extend the route and find more technical challenges for experienced mountain runners: Our local guide knows exactly how to adjust the route to suit your needs.

Giorno 1

Arrival in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Dolomites

Meet & greet at the hotel in Cortina, where you will spend the first nigth before the tour begins. After dinner, our local guide will brief you.

Giorno 2

Oround Braies

9,5 km and +980 m / – 320 m
Transfer to the beginning of ​​AltaVia 1. From the idyllic Braies Lake, you will run along a panoramic path, which will lead you to Fanes, Sennes and Braies Nature Park. Dinner and overnight at rifugio.

Giorno 3

Altopiano di Fanes

10,2 km and +560 m / -650 m
From the Sennes Hut you will run on trails through meadows on a plateau, where you’ll find the Pederu Hut.  Dinner and overnight at rifugio.

Giorno 4

Forcella del Lago og Lagazuoi 

15 km and +1.250 m / -570 m
The trail begins at the hear of the nature park and then extends upwards to Forcella del Lago, where you will be able to admire the beautiful Lagazuoi Lake. Right after the lake, you will begin the ascent towards Lagazuoi – on of the most panoramic spots on the tour and a ‘terrace’  with a spectacular view of the Dolomites. Dinner and overnight at rifugio.

Dag 5

Cinque Torri

11,5 km and +550 m / -1.100 m
Leaving Lagazuoi you will be running past the 5 Torri, on of the most beautiful and characteristic formations in the area.  After the Giau Pass, you’ll reach the rifugio.

Giorno 6

Passo Staulanza

13 km and +450 m / -1.000 m 
From the Giau-pass you will run past the impressive rock faces of Lastoi di Formin and Becco di Mezzodi to Passo Staulanza. From here transfer to Cortina D’Ampezzeo.
