Take part in the Trail Camp Monte Rosa and try out genuine mountain running by one of Europe’s most unique mountain massifs. This tour is intended for both intermediate runners, who are new to mountain running, as well as for those who are preparing for their next ultra trail or mountain race. We are three experienced guides on every camp, making sure that everyone is challenged at each individual level.

We stay in La Gruba, where the owner Alberto and his family will make sure you feel at home. La Gruba is a newly refurbished alpine lodge with a great atmosphere and widely know for serving up some of the best food in the area. When we do not run or eat, we hang out together on the terrace outside and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

How to book this tour

You will secure your place on the Trail Camp Monte Rosa by paying a deposit equal to 20 per cent of the price of the tour. There must be at least four people registered per camp, so you must wait to buy your flight until we have confirmed that the number of participants has been reached.

When you buy your flight, we recommend that you choose a flight arriving in Malpensa Airport no later than 12 noon on the day of arrival. If you have trouble finding the right flight, please contact us and we will try to help you find a solution.

Drive yourself

You can also choose to go directly to La Gruba, if for instance you are on holiday nearby. Contact us and get directions.

What should you pack?
In the mountains the weather can change fast. The temperature can quickly change from very hot to freezing cold. Therefore, we recommend that you bring at least the following:
  • Warm base layers
  • Light wind breaker
  • Raincoat (Goretex or similar)
  • Hydration system or small backpack
  • Trail running shoes
  • Buff / Cap
  • Gloves
  • High-factor sunscreen
  • Poles (recommended)
  • Sunglasses
  • Gel or other energy. Wine gums also works fine.
